Install Google+ for Android from Market

Somehow installing Google+ Application for Android is difficult in some country, including mine, Indonesia. When you're searching with "google+" keyword in Android Market, there is no Google+ application shown, just another Google products. Then how to install it from Android Market?

Just a coincidence, i change the filtering value of Android Market to "Show all apps" then search it again and it found...

Update Samsung Galaxy Mini using Samsung Kies

Curious with Android Gingerbread, i decide to update my Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 to Android 2.3.4. Many references said to backup my data, contacts, and other things to prevent if data lost is happened. So i open the Samsung Kies to backup all of my phone data and then i found the Kies notification about updating my phone firmware...

Telkomsel 3445 Text Message

What the hell... Thursday evening, August 14, 2011 i got a message from 3445 telkomsel. It said that my phone bill already reached Rp. 770,079. First i think that message was system fault but after i checked again with *888# it said my bill already reached Rp. 900k OMG! The next thing that appear in my mind was the internet package so i checked it, "UL INFO" send to 3636 but it said that i didn't registered any internet packages. That's the problem, i still have a message that said i'm registered the unlimited internet packages until August 10th.

Next day, of course i'm going to telkomsel's customer services, fortunately the CS said there is a system error so my bill will be recalculated and i can go home. Hwoa... that was a shocking messages i can't imagine paying 900k just for a month for phone bill.

Samsung Galaxy Mini Android 2.2 Froyo Proxy Setting

This day, proxy is common gateway for any devices which connected to a local area network to reach the internet. Smartphone also often connected to a wireless network which use proxy to reach the internet. Then in this case, there is a way to reach the internet over proxy from Android smartphone. Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570) with Android 2.2 Froyo Operating System.

First, make sure that the device already connected to the local area network (via Wi-Fi) which use proxy to reach the internet. Open the settings, Wireless and networks menu then Wi-Fi settings menu. If your wi-fi not turned on yet, please turn it on and connect it to the wireless network. Then push the advanced menu button (bottom left of the phone, not at a touchscreen) and choose Advanced.

SE W960i Yahoo! Mail Settings

After my experience set up email account for Gmail on Sony Ericsson W960 i try to set up email account for Yahoo! Mail. Almost all the settings are same just little bit a different things and here are the details

First, start on "Basic" tab
1. Account Name : <up to you> e.g. [Yahoo!]
2. Your Name : <up to you> e.g. [I Made Krisna]
3. Email Address : <youremail@yahoodomain> e.g. [falconity@yahoo.com]
4. Connection Type : IMAP
5. [ ] Push email (unchecked)
"Inbox" tab
1. Incoming server address : zimbra.imap.mail.yahoo.com
2. Username : <youremail@yahoodomain> e.g. [falconity@yahoo.com]
3. Password : <youryahoopassword>
4. Download Restrictions : No Restriction
5. [ ] Limit number of emails (unchecked)
6. Receive using group : Internet
"Outbox"
1. Outgoing server address : smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
2. [v] Use SMTP authentication (checked)
3. [v] Use inbox login details (checked)
4. Send using group : Internet
