SE W960i Yahoo! Mail Settings
After my experience set up email account for Gmail on Sony Ericsson W960 i try to set up email account for Yahoo! Mail. Almost all the settings are same just little bit a different things and here are the details
- First, start on "Basic" tab
- Account Name : <up to you> e.g. [Yahoo!]
- Your Name : <up to you> e.g. [I Made Krisna]
- Email Address : <youremail@yahoodomain> e.g. [falconity@yahoo.com]
- Connection Type : IMAP
- [ ] Push email (unchecked)
- "Inbox" tab
- Incoming server address : zimbra.imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Username : <youremail@yahoodomain> e.g. [falconity@yahoo.com]
- Password : <youryahoopassword>
- Download Restrictions : No Restriction
- [ ] Limit number of emails (unchecked)
- Receive using group : Internet
- "Outbox"
- Outgoing server address : smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
- [v] Use SMTP authentication (checked)
- [v] Use inbox login details (checked)
- Send using group : Internet
- More >> Advanced
- "Incoming" tabs
- Secure Connection : SSL
- Incoming mail port : 993
- "Outgoing"
- Secure Connection : None
- Outgoing mail port : 25
- [v] Use MIME encoding (checked)

SE W960i Gmail Settings
Now, i want to share my experience how to set up an email account on Sony Ericsson W960.
Let's get started.....
- Absolutely turn on your SE W960 first
- Go get into messaging menus
- Click More >> Settings >> Email accounts
If you're have no email accounts, click More options then New account...
And if you already have email accounts, click on that account and press select
- You will find three tabs window
- First, "Basic" Tab
- Account Name : <up to you> e.g. [Gmail]
- Your Name : <up to you> e.g. [I Made Krisna]
- Email Address : <youremail@gmail.com> e.g. [im.krisna@gmail.com]
- Connection Type : POP3
- Second step, "Inbox" tab
- Incoming server address : pop.googlemail.com
- Username : <yourmail@googlemail.com> e.g. [im.krisna@googlemail.com]
- Password : <yourgmailpassword>
- Download Restrictions : No Restriction
- [ ] Limit number of emails (unchecked)
- Receive using group : Internet
- "Outbox" tab
- Outgoing server address : smtp.googlemail.com
- [v] Use SMTP authentication (checked)
- [v] Use Inbox login details (checked)
- Send using group : Internet
- Then, click more at bottom left >> Advanced
- "Incoming" tab
- Secure Connection : SSL
- Incoming mail port : 995
- [ ] Secure password authentication (unchecked)
- "Outgoing" tab
- Secure Connection : SSL
- Outgoing mail port : 465
- [ ] Use MIME encoding (unchecked)
- DONE!!
Back to messaging and select your email account, click More and get & send
